steel. This significantly reduces the loss in performance, and reduces the weight and diameter of components. Isa-Con450, like Isa-Con414, is heat-resistant, which means the bolt retains its mechanical strength in applications with higher ambient temperatures.

cable manufacturers, with the result that, in recent years, a 12-fiber loose tube has reduced its diameter by 50 percent. Rosendahl’s newly developed yarn tension binder with integrated yarn tension measurement enables minimum yarn tensions of 2 newtons, which cannot be achieved using conventional binders. These constant tension forces contribute to optimum results for fiber optic production and minimize scrap.

High speed, low tension Rosendahl’s ROBI high-speed, low-tension cross-binder was developed for binding SZ- stranded loose tubes. Smaller cable designs and softer materials demand the ongoing development of this stranding method. The new integrated yarn tension measurement of Rosendahl’s ROBI allows consistent and very low binding tension, even during high-speed production. With a line speed of up to 200m per minute, loose tubes are stranded at 2,500 rpm. New materials and optimization of cable design in terms of compaction, fiber count, material consumption and production costs constantly pose new challenges for
