Population growth in the Washington DC area has led to increasing demand for a reliable electricity supply. Step forward Prysmian group, which will start a seven-year multi- phased project worth $190 million this year. The upgrade will improve system reliability and reduce the risk of storm-related outages, while expanding network capacity to support the use of solar-powered energy and other customer-generated solutions. Prysmian will also be responsible for maintenance services and systems, including sheath testing and voltage testing activities. Turn to page 9 for the full story.
