Renewables see further growth in the US

Wood Americas, part of the global engineering and consulting company Wood plc, has secured a number of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) onshore wind contracts in the United States. The largest of the contracts, in total worth an estimated $100 million, is the next phase in American Electric Power (AEP) Renewables’ wind farm development in south-central Kansas. The Flat Ridge 3 wind farm is an extension to Flat Ridge 1

and 2, among the largest wind farms in the US.

Other contracts include Black Hills Energy’s utility-scale Corriedale Wind Energy project in Cheyenne, Wyoming — Wood’s first renewables project in the mountain states — and four new wind farms in Morrow and Umatilla Counties in Oregon for Orchard Windfarms.
