Packaging materials and industrial laminates manufacturer LLFlex is investing $7.6m in a new facility in High Point, North Carolina. The investment will create new jobs at the site as the company increases its commitment to customer service, production excellence and market share growth. The company is being helped by a $90,000 grant to support the new development. This provides financial help from local governments to attract economic investment and create jobs, but LLFlex must meet job creation and capital investment targets to qualify for payment. A Wire Association International member since 1992, Jan Sørige has been named as the 67 th president and chairman of the board of directors of the association from 1 st January. Between 2009 and 2014 he had served as chairman of the WAI’s exhibition planning committee. During his year he will serve on its conference programming committee, exhibition planning committee and oversight committee. The full story can be found on page 13.
