GTT Communications has finalized its acquisition of theglobal telecoms provider Hibernia Networks. The takeover will expand GTT’s global tier 1 IP network with owned and leased dark fiber assets, plus five owned subsea cables – including the transatlantic Hibernia Express system, with a design capacity of 53Tbps – as well as eight submarine cable landing stations.
