Belden Inc has launched new FiberExpress hybrid copper-fiber cables, designed for the transmission of up to 200W of low voltage power and data over distances up to 1,000m. FiberExpress cables are said to provide the benefits of DC power and fiber in just one cable, offering installation and labor savings with only a single cable pull.

The new cable management system consists of a few basic components: the cable entry frame with an integrated gasket; a two-piece thread and locking adapter, with a two-piece locknut to fix it in place; and sealing elements with a range of inlays. Assembly is quick and requires no tools; cables are simply fed through the enclosure opening and cable entry frame.

Hybrid cable construction also reduces the number of cables installers need to stock.
