Uplifting acquisition

The Fort Wayne-based American Wire Rope and Sling (AWRS) is now under the ownership of Bishop Lifting Products of Texas. AWRS manufactures a variety of products for the rigging industry with 40 employees across its Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Mishawaka sites. “AWRS expands our geographic footprint into the upper midwest area of the country,” explained Harold King, president

of Bishop Lifting Products, adding that “the addition of AWRS enhances our existing capabilities by expanding our overhead crane manufacturing and service capabilities.” Bishop Lifting Products did not specify whether any jobs would be affected by the acquisition.
