range of processes and applications. Users will have a larger, 15˝, viewing screen with multi-touch capabilities to enable zoom-in and out, as well as extruder control for up to three extruders and real-time and historical data trending. Other enhancements include the increase of heat-only zones from four to eight, with an option for up to 20; two auxiliary drives; a remote set-point; and speed trim via discrete inputs from gauging equipment. “The DS-eTPC II has a modular design to improve control capabilities and application flexibility, while maintaining an excellent price point,” said John Clemens, Davis-Standard’s director of extrusion controls. “Customers will benefit from being able to control up to three extruders from one main HMI. They will also have the option for local control of co-extruders while maintaining line control from the primary HMI. For wire and cable processes there are optional modes for auto on/off and manual control, along with an option for capstan control. This controller goes way beyond basic touch-screen operations, which is much needed in the marketplace.” Time-saving printer Brady Corporation’s new Wraptor A6500 wire identification printer applicator has been designed to increase production output by identifying cables with wrap-

around labels in five seconds, saving around ten seconds per cable.

The Wraptor A6500 will automatically print and apply 300dpi labels, barcodes, logos and diagrams, eliminating the need to print labels in advance and the time taken to apply them by hand. Wraptor A6500 can identify cables from 1.52 to 15.24mm in diameter, and apply labels with varying widths up to 50.8mm and lengths between 19.05 and 76.2mm. Its full color touchscreen and modern user interface further increase the Wraptor’s ease of use, while USB ports and Ethernet connectivity make the Wraptor practical to implement in a variety of production environments. Wraptor can be used with Brady Workstation apps for label design, barcoding and serialization, and can be integrated with Schleuniger’s cut and strip machines. The Wraptor A6500 will quickly apply Brady’s durable B-427 self-laminating vinyl and B-499 nylon cloth wrap-around cable labels, both designed to withstand challenging industrial environments. The self-laminating label offers good abrasion, fuel and oil resistance, outdoor durability, has self-extinguishing properties and is available in multiple colors. The nylon cloth wrap-around label offers abrasion, fuel, oil, dirt, heat, cold and chemical resistance.
