IWCS Inc has appointed Michelle Melsop, CMP CEM, as senior operations manager.

Ms Melsop took up the position in March by observing the operation of the second annual UL and IWCS International Cable and Connectivity Symposium in Shanghai, China. She also contributed to the recent IWCS symposium committee meeting in April, where over 30 individuals from several countries met to establish the program for the IWCS 2018 conference in Providence, Rhode Island. “I was very impressed with both the conference in China and the process of paper selection in the development of an outstanding program for the IWCS 2018 conference,” said Ms Melsop. “I’m very excited to join the team.”

Ms Melsop comes to the position from the Plastics Industry Association where she was senior manager of conferences and logistics. Prior to that she was manager of events at the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). She obtained her certification in exhibition management (CEM) in 2012 and certified meeting planner (CMP) in 2013. “Michelle brings ten years of association meeting and event planning experience to the position and will be a great addition to the team,” said Dave Kiddoo, IWCS executive director. “With the overlap of the two managers, Pat and Michelle, we expect the
