Newcomb Spring Corp is adding custom wire bending to its range of manufacturing capabilities. As a manufacturer of custom springs, wire forms and metal stampings, Newcomb Spring has invested in CNC manufacturing technology and advanced quality control systems for wire bending. CNC automation gives Newcomb Spring the capability to bend wire with repeatable accuracy, using materials ranging from standard steels to premium exotic alloys, in shapes ranging from round to rectangular and custom. “Maintaining accurate geometries is critical in precision wire bending projects, so parts transition smoothly to final assemblies,” explained Robert Jacobson, president of Newcomb Spring. “Our investment in this CNC technology allows us to address customers’ demands for precise wire components that meet design specifications with repeatable accuracy, from prototype through [to] large production runs.” Newcomb Spring will continue to invest in wire bending manufacturing to address the needs of companies across markets such as transportation and automotive, agriculture, appliances and housewares, medical and veterinary accessories.
