with ZGR. Primetals will provide engineering, equipment and installation supervision for the rolling mill equipment, which includes a 13-stand Morgan No-Twist mill, a 24-inch entry shear, intermediate shear and other related systems.

A copper rod mill manufactured in Primetals’ Worcester, Massachusetts, facility will be sent to China for the production of tough pitch copper. The mill will be installed in the Jiangsu province of China for Jiangsu ZGR New Material Co, a company based in the city of Yixing, and is expected to be in operation in 2019. The SCR-7000 copper rod mill will be installed by Georgia wire and cable producer Southwire Co, which signed the contract

The mill is designed to run 48 metric tons per hour and up to 315,000 tons per year.
