NAI has opened a new plant in Coahuila, Mexico, to manufacture interconnect devices such as cable assemblies, harnesses and box builds. The new 38,000ft 2 plant will provide NAI with the option to double capacity, and operations are due to begin in February 2021. Full details are on page 11. A $2 billion investment in zero-emission infrastructure, education and access is being carried out over the next ten years by Electrify America LLC. The company has introduced a new program to add solar-powered canopies at electric vehicle charging locations. The first – in Baker, California – is operational, and the company plans to add the solar canopies at 125 other sites in 2021. By the end of next year, it expects to have around 800 total charging stations and 3,500 DC fast chargers in 45 states across the US. Turn to page 16.
