Planetary lines for armouring big submarine cables in their last manu- facturing process include automatic bobbins loading systems to increase the machine’s efficiency. The company also has planetary lines for laying-up round and sector shaped conductors, including variable backtwist facility, and motorised bobbins drive control with integrated dancers to lower tension on the wires/conductors to be stranded. In addition, Flymca continues to develop/build ‘traditional’ machines such as tubular/skip stranders, bow cablers, drum twisters and large take-ups and pay- offs for big/heavy bobbins. S S A planetary stranding line for super conductors

Special rigid stranding lines are designed for the production of HV conductors, including waterproof systems such as yarns, tapes or injected paste. Lines are prepared to work with round, rectangular or trapezoidal shaped wires with larger bobbins than traditional 630 DIN to maximise production and decrease the number of stops.
