Technologically advanced and eco-friendly rotating machines

Combined with double twist bunchers, SETIC payoffs are supplied in different versions according to the application (LAN, special, control, industrial, robot, IIoT, communication), the reel diameter and the product quality. The range includes double backtwist payoffs, single backtwist payoffs, triple twist payoffs, and flexible solutions that can work in two different modes: double backtwist or triple twist. SETIC and Pourtier have also developed a range of single twist machines from 630 to 2,500mm. High-speed dual single twist lines, with one single twist used as payoff and one as take-up for different sizes of bobbins, offer three solutions in one line: full backtwist laying-up line, and two separate laying-up lines (with the possibility to make cable in multiple passes using a central backtwist payoff). high-quality round or sectoral compact ed strands of 7, 19, 37 or 61 wires. The con centric construction enables speeds of up to 500 tpm, while the multi-wire process keeps the line short. The bobbin-less solution with basket type payoffs is composed of independent modules of two or four reels with three wires each, individually motorised by AC motors. The flexible line allows a reduction of copper remainders as well as saving energy via a power recovery system. In addition to the large double twist stranders/cablers, SETIC offers a comprehensive range of high-speed double twist bunchers. The 630/800mm double twist bunchers are designed for bunching 7, 19 or 37 wires (unilay construction) or laying-up of insulated wires for data/instrumentation/special cables. Claimed advantages include a single-bow design, full AC motors, reduced mainte- nance (no encoder, Bluetooth system) and the energy-saving GreenBow2+ design.

SETIC and Pourtier produce a wide range of rotating machines. In response to demand for higher production output combined with high product quality and very compacted conductors, the companies offer two major next generation rotating machine solutions dedicated to unilay or counter stranding lay conductors. SETIC’s TC 2000-4M is a high-speed 2,000mm double twist for stranding large bare conductors from seven to 61 wires at up to 1,000 tpm, using copper or aluminium, round or straight sectors (61-wire unilay production – compressed and compacted), up to 400mm 2 Cu and 500mm 2 Alu. The machine has a compact and modern design: a bobbin-less solution with double-basket type payoffs, and featuring all-AC motors, single bow, Bluetooth transmission and a large pulley for machine and capstan.
