Call for technical papers for annual IWCS industry forum

IWCS is seeking industry professionals and academic researchers to submit a 300– 500 word abstract summarising research or emerging technologies affecting the global cable and connectivity industry. Abstracts will be reviewed by the IWCS 2023 technical symposium committee, and authors of accepted abstracts will gain international exposure for their work. Second Middle East plant for Madem Madem Reels Group is to expand its operations in the Middle East. The shareholders of Madem Gulf Ind – Bahrain have agreed to open a new manufacturing, assembly and distribution plant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will become the company’s second manufacturing plant in the Middle East, following the initial plant located in Askar, Bahrain. Operations are scheduled to begin this year, with assembly and distribution beginning in Q3-Q4, while manufacturing is set for Q1-Q2 2024. The initial investment includes fully automated wooden drum CNC lines. Annual capacity is expected to exceed 1,000 truckloads of knock-down reel kits.
