wire, Tube and METEC India postponed to September 2021

Owing to the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including worldwide travel restrictions that challenge national and international participation, event organiser Messe Düsseldorf India has decided to postpone the concurrently held trade fairs wire India, Tube India, METEC India and India Essen Welding & Cutting to 8-10 September, 2021, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The events were originally scheduled to take place in March. The decision to reschedule the events was made together with all partners and key industry stakeholders after careful evaluation of the situation. Thomas Schlitt, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf India, stated, “In

the current situation regarding COVID- 19 in India and worldwide, we are working around undefined parameters which make event planning and logistics very difficult. But trade fairs are more important than ever for successful business development and the recovery of the economy. In order to enable as many participants as possible, also from outside of India, to take part in India’s leading industry events for the metal and metallurgy sectors, the postponement was a necessary step.” Messe Düsseldorf India states that it remains dedicated to creating important business opportunities with significant participation from both domestic and global exhibitors,

visitors and delegates. The September 2021 staging will ensure maximum participation given the internationality of metal trade fairs, allowing all stakeholders to plan their participation carefully and efficiently, with emphasis on their safety and health.
