Lamiera looks forward to showcasing latest technology
the sector confirmed its growth trend, registering double-digit increases in the international trade data concerning the exchange of sheet metal forming and cutting machines. In particular, in the period January to June 2022, the world exports of sheet metal forming and cutting machine tools (laser, waterjet, plasma and so on) reported a 12 per cent upturn compared with the same period of 2021, totalling more than €8bn. Worldwide imports also grew by 16 per cent exceeding €6bn. In this context, Italy highlighted highly satisfactory performances, confirming to be the second most important consumer market in the world in 2021 (latest available data). LAMIERA, the international exhibition dedicated to sheet metal forming and cutting machines, will take place at fieramilano Rho, Milan from 10 to 13 May 2023. Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, the Italian machine tools, robots and automation systems manufacturers’ association, and organised by Ceu-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu. Considering the economic framework, which is still favourable despite some factors of uncertainty, Lamiera is getting ready to receive positive feedback from the enterprises of the sector. Besides the foreign markets, they will have a very dynamic and receptive Italian market at their disposal. In the first six months of 2022, the Italian industry of
said: “Supported by the government incentives 4.0, in effect for the whole year 2023 and afterwards, domestic demand will certainly reward the exhibitors participating in Lamiera.” The organisations have reported a lot of interest in the event from traditional exhibitors and also by new enterprises, as well as by companies that have decided to exhibit again after an absence. Pemamek to deliver PEMA onshore wind tower production lines to Al Yamamah
The scope of delivery includes a significant amount of advanced PEMA welding automation equipment designed specifically for high-capacity and safe onshore wind tower manufacturing. “We are very proud to be elected for this meaningful wind-power project. Pemamek has a proven track record in developing highly advanced wind tower manufacturing solutions and now we are excited to create a substantial positive impact on Al Yamamah’s production. Pemamek’s delivery to Al Yamamah is a turn key solution including comprehensive project management, a range of acceptance tests, production ramp-up and training. The agreement also includes a service contract with a spare part package, software support and maintenance support. Pemamek, founded in 1970, is a global welding and production automation company. With an extensive 50-year experience in welding and production automation it is dedicated to helping heavy fabrication industries, such as shipbuilding, wind energy, and power generation industry, to improve productivity.
THE Finnish welding and production automation company, Pemamek Ltd, has signed a contract with Al Yamamah Steel Industries to supply PEMA onshore wind tower manufacturing lines. The new order is a part of the construction project of the Al Yamamah Wind Energy Systems Factory, which is Saudi Arabia’s first wind tower manufacturing facility. The new facility, contributing to local wind power projects, is being carried out as part of Saudi Arabia’s clean energy transformation and Saudi Vision 2030.
