75 years of fastening technology Fabory is celebrating its 75 th anniversary as a specialist in fastening solutions. In 1947, Karel Borstlap and his father started selling screws and tools from the parental home in The Hague in the Netherlands, where the stock was literally stored under the stairs. The company moved premises to Scheveningen, then again to Tilburg. In 1996, Fabory (then still Borstlap BV) started using the automated miniload in the central warehouse in Tilburg, making the company one of the first whole- salers to invest in a computer-controlled warehouse. Two years later, the Borstlap laboratory received A2LA accreditation and was recognised as an independent lab- oratory with the right to issue product certificates.
