Preparing for the future with intelligent automation solutions Smart manufacturing is already an important tool for many manufacturers. Companies are getting future-ready by applying intelligence throughout the whole production process. Gaining better insights from data and analytics can help manufacturers to improve their business processes and results. Evolving the business model to add innovative technologies, implementing them into systems, and providing effective employee training can maintain a company’s agility. Using the latest Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Windak Group can more accurately predict equipment’s maintenance requirements and minimise downtime to keep the customer’s production running. The benefits of real-time monitoring include: • Better control and more efficient production • Reduced downtime in production • Improved quality, and documentation of the final product quality • Sustainability – the machines’ impact on energy consumption etc Machine reports can be provided to suit the customer, such as the most common faults, materials used, OEE and parts produced.
Industry 4.0 ready
To support clients’ existing SCADA or IoT solutions, Windak uses familiar electric automation brands and the latest generation of PLC systems, which allow it to easily integrate electrical and intelligent automation modules into mechanical technologies. Each new piece of equipment is equipped with a modem to enable remote maintenance and rapid support. For older equipment, Windak has add-on modules that provide live information of the machine’s performance via a web browser. Alternatively, the data can be forwarded to an ERP or similar factory system. Windak Group www.windakgroup.com
