At the last concurrent exhibitions in 2007 there were 234 exhibitors from 29 countries as well as 13,500 trade visitors from all parts of the Russian Federation. wire Russia 2009, which opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00 hours, will be located in the well appointed Forum Hall. The ongoing need to modernise this huge country will stimulate demand in the machinery and equipment sector. Over the three years leading up to 2008 Russia’s GDP exceeded 6% with booming consumption and investments soaring by 10% per annum. Despite the economic problems that began in 2008 Russia will continue to expand its supply of energy and raw materials and therefore will require further substantial investments to build and develop its transport and conveyance capabilities.
