Resistance welding systems The Schlatter Group manufactures plant for resistance welding systems for reinforcement mesh, industrial mesh, wire weaving machines and cold rolling, drawing and stretching technology for specialised solutions. In the welding segment, the company develops and builds resistance welding systems for the production of industrial and reinforcing mesh. In the weaving segment, it builds wire weaving machines for wire fabric and mesh under the Jäger brand. Within wire production, the company manufactures cold rolling, drawing and stretching technology. The organisation is designed to ensure that Schlatter is as close as possible to its customers and their markets, with production facilities in Switzerland, Germany and Brazil and subsidiaries in Europe, North America and Asia.

Colour concentrates and additives Cable extrusion has become a key factor for the advancement of renewable energies, such as wind and photovoltaics, as well as the deployment of low-voltage cabling or fibre optics. However, multiple solutions and flexibility are needed to respond to the requirements. Delta Tecnic, a masterbatch producer, is emphasising its commitment to tech- nological and energy advancement, offering companies a broad portfolio of colour concentrates and additives designed to work in high-rigour compounding formulations, from PVC for THHN/THHW/THW in RAL and Munsell colourings, HFFR in EVA/PE, or PE for crosslinking. They are also formulated in masterbatch with UV, AO and repellent additives.

fully selects the right pigments for dilution and dispersion in the polymers and compounds used. These selections facilitate high-speed production with colour consistency, as well as maintaining electrical insula- tion and fire-resistance requirements, including recent CPR regulations. In addition, Delta Tecnic offers its expertise to match the custom colour to suit the customer’s needs, as well as its raw material bases for the subse- quent creation of the desired colour. Hard diamond inserted in the die ensures long tool life, even in high- speed processes. The end result is an insulated wire with uniform insulation thickness and pre- cise conductor centring that provides the correct electrical characteristics in the finished product. This drive to replace and modernise structures wherever possible is leading to a situation in which cabling must have a number of advantages. Whether it is cables used for solar, wind or hydro power supply, or for longer transmission lengths, lighting, robotics and transport infrastructure, these are relevant for any manufacturer.

Delta Tecnic produces colour con- centrates in standard pellet sizes as well as micropellets. Understanding the challenges faced by manufacturers around the world, the company care-

custom materials. The company uses high-quality, rust-free steel with tested ideal OD and ID concentricity. The tightly maintained concentricity allows wire insulators to meet the demands of super-thin-wall constructions. The tools are made in alloy steel, carbide and diamond, to customers’ requirements. The extrusion dies include tubing dies, compression dies and semi compression dies. Tips and dies are made with a mirror polish and no sharp edges to ensure optimal insulation material flow and
