10 C42-01 Achieving greater awareness of its high-tech products and Austrian engi- neering in the international wire and cable industry are central to the global aims of the AWCMA/VOEDKM industry association at wire 2022. The AWCMA/VOEDKM (Austrian Wire and Cable Machinery Manufacturers´ Association), founded by Dr Eder in 1988, stands for wire and cable production machines and technology made in Austria. 20 specialist companies are available to provide technical solutions for wire and cable production worldwide. Austrian hospitality will be offered to all AWCMA members and their visiting guests in the special Café Vienna, located within the Austrian Pavilion. 12 Austrian AWCMA specialist firms will display their products on stands within the Austrian Pavilion in Hall 10 and on individual stands in Halls 9, 15 and 16.

It is a simple and reliable process with easy operation through an advanced control system, with optimised energy consumption.

TBC Videx will show videos and present samples made on its new lines. The company’s forge line from coil and bar can shear to length, chamfer, extrude, forge in two stations, cool and thread roll diameters from 20 to 63mm, and lengths from 200 to 1,000mm. The weld-stud line from coil can straighten and cut to length, chamfer, drill, insert aluminium ball, inspect and optional heading. The B7 stud line from bars cuts, chamfers, stamps and threads, while new extrusion machines for up to 100mm diameter will extrude hot rolled bars from major diameter to pitch diameter. The U-bolt machine from coil, up to M-24, pulls wire from coil, straightens it, cuts to length, thread rolls and bends to shape. The VC line straightens, cuts and chamfers both ends on any type of wire up to 38mm diameter. The Videx threaded rod lines up to M-24 will straighten bars from coil, thread roll the entire length and bundle. The fully automatic bent bolt machine from coil will be shown in real production. The VAS-20-DBQ (M-6 to M-12) manufactures U-bolts, anchor bolts and eye bolts at a speed of 60 to 120 ppm. The machine pulls the wire from coil, straightens it, cuts to length, thread rolls on both sides and bends to shape. The VAS-20-DBQ has an adjustable bending die, allowing the operator to produce any size of U-bolt within the machine range, while changing only the bending hammer. Also being exhibited will be a planetary thread roller with closed structure and computerised match system. The VA 20-ES (M-5 to M-16) thread rolls pre hardened and hard-to-feed fasteners. The machine controls the feed position and indexes the feed to a fresh start point, increasing die life. It is also equipped with Videx’s Controlled Feed system for threading lap-free threads on any material. automatic clamping of the thread rolling dies and quick set-up. The process allows different rod sizes to be cast simultaneously, and both production output and product mix can easily be adjusted according to the daily demands. Upcast lines are suitable for various materials. The main applications are pure OF-copper and copper-based alloys, as well as other non-ferrous metals.
