Artificial intelligence, with its neural networks and predictive models captured from real industry environ- ments, is pushing production perfor- mance and product quality forward while ensuring that manufacturers stay in control of the demanding extrusion process. Two complete lines will be visible on the stand: a fibre optic secondary coating line and a high-voltage CCV line. Using virtual reality, visitors will be able to go on an exploratory tour that reveals the designs and inner workings of the two lines. Maillefer Smart Monitoring will be at work during the show, taking a variety of data from the stand, then crunching, compiling, correlating and consolidating it into an informative display of the Smart Factory. Its flexibility makes it a decisive tool for factory operation that adapts easily and evolves rapidly to individual needs. Other exhibits will include topography scanning of energy cable surfaces, a new dual take-up for telecom wire, a

choice of crossheads and extruders for low-voltage and fibre optic cables, and a tape folding system. The company will also highlight the advantages of its solutions in relation to customer concerns regarding sustain- ability. Longer lengths, less scrap, optimum material consumption and tight tolerances, longer run times, equipment durability and extended lifecycles through services and upgrades are immediate answers that Maillefer provides. ❍ Maillefer’s Topography Scanner for quality monitoring of power cables

Manufacturas Irular SA (Manfisa) is a Spanish company specialising in aluminium wire drawing and casting. The experience the company has gained since 1973 has enabled it to develop a wide range of productive wires.
