The Estane ZHF polymer series includes several new resins that meet UL and VDE requirements. The company offers a wide range of halogen-free Estane solutions for cable and wire manu- facturers to meet demands for low gas conductivity, lower toxicity and high heat resistance. The new polymers are applied in electric vehicle (EV) charging cables and other speciality applications like robotic cables in automation, automotive and communication. Estane EV 90AT2 NAT 01 for EV charging cables complies with IEC 62893 and EN 50620 standards. Lubrizol TPUs are recyclable (subject to access to a recycling programme that supports such materials), and improve the processability in the manufacture of most cables. There are specific Estane materials with matt appearance, and showing a consistent performance in thin cables. The cable industry’s trend for thinner cables with top mechanical properties drove Lubrizol technical experts to design and deliver new polymers that could satisfy this emerging demand. The Estane ZHF TPU portfolio has been expanded with several new products to offer a wide scope of solutions to satisfy the different requirements from wire and cable end applications. The new Estane ZHF products include: • 90AT8 for robotic and communication cables • 58202 for easy processability and low gas conductivity • 58370, providing easy processability and low gas conductivity • 58211, with good thermal resistance and easy processability • 85AT8 Matt, featuring a matt surface, applied in industrial cables Estane ZHF materials are durable, plasticiser-free polymers designed for cables that can withstand elevated temperatures and extreme conditions while being compliant with the main standards in the industry. Lukas Anlagenbau GmbH Stand: 12 C19

Lämneå Bruk will showcase and run one of its newest innovations: the No Twist Coiler 1200. This machine acts as payoff and take-up for the drawing machine for more streamlined wire production. The major advantage is the handling of the package by undriven payoff, resulting in twist-free and straight wire. The machine also saves energy and has lower downtime due to its continuous production abilities. Lämneå Bruk will run the machine live on its stand at wire Düsseldorf. The company will also showcase its drawing machine, as well as the second generation of the fully automatic precision layer winder. Both machines are among Lämneå Bruk’s top selling equipment.

Lukas Anlagenbau, a family-owned manufacturer from Germany, produces customer-specific equipment for the wire and cable industry. The focus of the products is on complete taping lines with taping materials including PTFE, Kapton, Mica, paper or metal. The company’s taping lines are also used for producing special cables for medical, aircraft and power applications.

The product range covers single components such as payoffs, capstans, caterpillars, sintering ovens and take-ups, and complete rewinding lines and fine wire drawing lines for non-ferrous materials. In October last year, Lukas Anlagenbau took over business from Erwin Neumann Drahtveredelungstechnik GmbH, and as a result extended its product range with electrolytic single-wire plating lines for tin, silver, nickel and copper. At wire Düsseldorf 2020, a horizontal taping machine will be exhibited. With a new drive concept, Lukas ensures a further improvement of quality in taping technology. A hollow shaft drive together with a lightweight carbon head improves the running qualities – production speed can be increased and frictional wear is reduced. The design of the components has also been revised for easier handling and better serviceability. ❍ Horizontal taping line from Lukas

Having been in the wire industry for more than 100 years, Lämneå Bruk has specialised knowledge, and can find innovative solutions for the changing demands of its international customers. All machines are designed and manufactured on-site in Sweden, allowing for flexibility and options to adapt each unit according to customers’ needs. A thorough three-step risk analysis and conformity with ISO standards ensure the high European safety standards of all machines. ❍ Some of the Lämneå Bruk sales team, who will be at wire 2020
