A modular design makes it possible to satisfy a wide range of quality demands and applications for CO 2 , MIG, FCW and SAW welding wires, as well as stainless steel welding wires with ultrasonic or electrolytic cleaning. The Copperjet is available with optional Candojet HW hot water spray pre-cleaning, high current density spray pickling, and Copperjet copper coating, with looping of the wire or straight wire pass line with Copperjet technology.

The new end finish system (knuckle and barb) will be easier to adjust for height changes, reducing set-up time, main- tenance time and maintenance expense, and improving machine uptime. The end finish operation is signalled from the HMI, replacing a series of mechanical linkages that required adjustment and parts replacement, not to mention considerable skill. The take-up system has been integrated into the main frame of the machine, reducing the number of parts, simplifying the operation, and reducing the foot- print of the machine by 30 per cent. The take-up will be closer to the weaving section of the machine, effectively “tightening” the process, reducing mis- weaves, and allowing higher standard operating speeds. With more than 90 years’ experience designing and building fence-related machinery, Bergandi Machinery has more than 2,500 machines in operation in more than 65 countries around the world. Along with its flagship chain link weavers, the company produces high-speed (Iowa style) continuous-twist barbed wire machines, high-tensile reverse-twist barbed wire machines, PVC extruders for use in the manufacture of colour chain link, fuse bonded systems to produce thermally fused organic coated wire for chain link, concertina/razor wire systems and other related equipment. The machinery is manufactured in Ontario, California, USA, where the company is headquartered. Candor, founded in 1946, specialises in wire cleaning and plating plants, and is a supplier of chemicals for various applications. At wire 2020, Candor will be presenting its developments and technology for galvanic wire plating lines, especially Sn, Ag, Ni and Ni on copper alloy wires, as well as Ni, Zn and Cu on stainless steel and carbon steel wires. The latest developments of the Copperjet high-speed copper coating plant, chemical or electrolytic, for welding wires will also be presented. The plant can copper coat wire at speeds of up to 25-30m/s. Bergandi Machinery www.bergandi.com Candor Sweden AB Stand: 10 B72

Candor Sweden offers single- and multi-wire cleaning and plating lines for ferrous and non-ferrous wires for various applications, such as welding wire cleaning and copper coating; ultrasonic and electrolytic wire cleaning for round and shaped wires; and Candojet HW hot water wire cleaning for round and shaped wires. It can also supply single- and multi-wire electrolytic galvanic plating plants for tinning, coppering, nickel plating, silver plating or galvanising for all types of wire material. Candor Sweden AB www.candorsweden.com CEA provides industrial solutions for butt welding and projection welding. In addition to its comprehensive product line, it is able to customise solutions for specific workflows and production requirements. CEA’s experience of industrial welding manufacturing dates back to 1950 and covers a wide variety of resistance welding equipment. One of the most important fields is butt welding, providing customers with smart and quick-use solutions to important business demands, with workflow optimisation. At wire 2020, CEA will introduce visitors to its solutions for butt welding. Bergandi Machinery has introduced two new chain link weaving machines, designated L7 and A6. The machines have been designed to give manu- facturers around the world access to US engineered and manufactured machinery. The L7 machine will be available in 2 to 3.6m heights, and will run wire diameters from 1.8 to 3.15mm and mesh sizes from 45 to 63mm. Additional mesh sizes are also available. Output rates will reach 160 square metres per hour. The A6 machine will be available in 1.8 to 3.6m heights, to run wire diameters from 1.8 to 3.9mm and mesh sizes from 45 to 63mm (and additional mesh sizes). Output rates will reach 260 square metres per hour.

The machines are equipped with a new smart technology control system featuring fully integrated machine control, combining machine drive and PLC functions in a single unit. To make the machines more economical, the complexity has been reduced; for example, the turrets are now pneumatically operated, eliminating dozens of precision-machined parts. ❍ Bergandi’s new A6 chain link weaving machine
