Weifang Special Steel Iron and Steel Co Ltd orders Kocks RSB 5.0

CHINESE special steel manufacturer Weifang Special Steel Iron and Steel Co Ltd has placed an order with Friedrich Kocks for a reducing and sizing block (RSB ® ) in 5.0 design. Weifang, with its head office in Weifang, Province of Shandong, China, mainly produces carbon steel wire rod, welding wire and SBQ. The Kocks RSB 5.0 produces SBQ within a dimension range of Ø 18 to 60mm at a maximum speed of 18m/s. Additionally, a Kocks-designed water cooling process will be implemented. Commissioning is scheduled for the start of 2019. The Kocks three-roll technology will allow Weifang to achieve a reliable and consistent SBQ production of premium quality with perfect surface and closest tolerances to meet the high demands of the market. The RSB 5.0 is the latest milestone in reducing and sizing technology for special bar quality (SBQ) products and offers enhanced bar quality, improved productivity, mill availability and economy as well as a simplified and safe operation.
