Individual cable carrier system for hydropower plant

An international team at Kabelschlepp France has implemented a robust cable carrier system for the safety valve at the Châteauneuf du Rhône hydroelectric power plant in the South of France. The purpose of the valve, which moves across the entire power plant, is to prevent over-speed of the turbines. In an emergency, a heavy barrier is used to block the ingress of water.

Maintenance work at the hydroelectric power plant included the installation of a new cable carrier system
