Torque tools with expanded selection, support and warranty

❍ The Gearwrench 120XP E-Spec

electronic torque wrench is designed for production environments that require high precision

As professionals in their field, mechanics and industrial MRO technicians invest heavily in their tools. Gearwrench says that it is rewarding that investment in its torque tools with its customer support and warranty programme. Gearwrench is adding to its torque range 185 new products across three platforms: mechanical torque wrenches (MTWs), electronic torque wrenches (ETWs) and screwdrivers. As an innovator of “clicker-style” MTWs, Gearwrench is adding 1" drive options to

its core line-up, and flex-head options to its 120XP range. The entire category achieves accuracy of ±3 per cent, exceeding ASME standards (4 per cent). The high tooth-count ratchets allow enhanced access, with 120XP models requiring a swing arc of just three degrees, and the all-steel construction provides durability. ETW is the fastest growing category in torque wrenches. Gearwrench is adding ¾" and 1" drive options to its core line (±2 per cent accuracy).

The highlight of the new products is the E-Spec. Designed for professionals in the MRO, assembly and aerospace industries, it achieves a ±1.5 per cent accuracy and 1.5 per cent angle measure accuracy. Its software interface means performance and usage data can be tracked easily.

Gearwench’s torque screwdrivers feature ±6 per cent accuracy (meeting ANSI requirements), quick-change bit holders and laser-etched markings. Gearwrench www.gearwrench.com Global nail guns market forecast to expand at 3.6 per cent CAGR until 2028

The size of the global market for nail guns is expected to reach US$3.96 billion by 2028, registering a CAGR of 3.6 per cent over the forecast period, according to a new report by Million Insights. Increasing demand for nail guns as an effective drilling tool in the building and construction industry is expected to drive the global market. These tools optimise construction work by speeding up the overall process. Increased spending on both residential and commercial construction sectors due to rapid urbanisation, especially in developing economies such as China and

India, is expected to boost the market growth. Companies in the market are developing innovative products to cater to changing consumer requirements. For example, in 2020, EZ Siding Nailer, a company from Pennsylvania, USA, developed and patented a tool that helps install vinyl siding up to four times faster, saving time and improving efficiency. The increasing demand for fast, mobile and convenient power tools is also driving market growth. The devices can also provide safety and accuracy; are equipped with maintenance-free drive motors; and

can be customised according to the user’s requirements. Economic slowdown during the global pandemic slightly affected the market growth. lockdown, causing a halt in end-use sectors such as construction and building. Industries resuming work will encourage the market, and this is expected to lead to a healthy growth rate in the upcoming years. Million Insights www.millioninsights.com Many countries faced
