TENOVA, a Techint group company specialising in innovative solutions for the metals and mining industries, has won an order for an EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) Consteel ® Evolution from Sichuan Guanghan Desheng Iron & Steel Co Ltd, in Sichuan Province, China. This contract represents the 14 th EAF Consteel Evolution project in China in the last 18 months. The shift from BF-BOF (integral steelmaking) plants towards EAF technology, sustained by the reforms of the Chinese government, has led to the demand for advanced equipment and technologies that increase production and provide environmentally friendly solutions. Evolution offers high standards as well as a more environmentally friendly approach to production compared to traditional steelmaking methods.
