Rautomead specialises in the supply of continuous casting technology for processing copper and copper alloys to make high quality rods, from 8mm to 30mm in diameter. Rautomead will be promoting a full range of continuous casting technology at the exhibition and will be high- lighting continuous casting technology for copper magnesium wire rod production in particular. Large diameter (30mm) continuous cast CuMg rod is required for the manufacture of catenary (trolley) wire for high-speed trains. The Rautomead RS3000 graphite furnace is thought to be unique in its ability to produce consistent quality in large diameter continuous cast CuMg rod. Two Rautomead RS 3000 model- casting machines will be installed in China during 2008. These machines will be used to make CuMg wire rod for processing to contact wire for use in the construction of the new high-speed rail lines in China.
