The company’s new VLT ® Automation Drive is designed to meet the demand of all critical applications, be it an extrusion line, a take-up and traverse, a drum twister, a stranding machine or a wire drawing machine. Its powerful control software enables it to be freely programmed to run applications including open-loop vector control, close-loop flux vector control or permanent magnet AC motor control. The built-in Smart Logic Controller eliminates use of a micro-PLC, saving capital cost and ensuring less hardware in the overall system. The drive is designed for an ambient temperature of 50 ° C, enabling it to be used in countries like India, where temperature during summer reaches as high as 47 ° C. The user has the option of either a numerical keypad or a graphical key- pad. The graphical keypad displays trending as per the user requirements. A built-in USB port enables connection to PC (for programming) without re- quiring a special cable. The Mautomatic 300 Evolution automatic coil winding line packages six coils per minute. The Mautomatic 600 R version has been manufactured to coil bare copper cable up to 95mm 2 cross section. The MAC and B-MAC are economical, automatic and compact coilers and/or spoolers. MAC is designed to satisfy the requirements of small and large cable producing companies that have to package many different types of cables in small quantities. It is suitable for cable diameters from 2mm (0.5mm 2 cross section) up to 15mm, with an approximate production of 10,000m/hr.
