wire treatment

Kieselstein – helping increase productivity ❍

Treatment of Wire Recently an experienced mining industry executive remarked that the cost of aluminium is really the cost of electricity, with which smelters turn alumina into aluminium. Similarly, the cost of wire is really the cost of treatment, whereby a product is turned into a commodity.

Descaling, pickling, and the like create the enhanced value with which the plant recoups its outlay for materials, and then some.

That ‘and then some’ is the zone in which profit is reckoned, and in today’s hyper-competitive market its margins can be uncomfortably narrow. How critical is an acid bath? If the customer is to take delivery of an order that – in addition to meeting all standards and specifications – is clean, smooth, sound, and certifiably free of defects, the answer is: very.

Consistently high productivity is achievable only because the treatments here are state-of-the-art processes of repeatable excellence.
