technologies based on special diamond dies; and new-design compact pressure dies. The company’s production programme also includes Panlube S dry drawing lubricants – calcium, sodium, aluminium, zinc, lithium and combined products for low- and high-carbon steel and stainless steel; Panlube L wet drawing lubricants – oils, greases and pastes for wet drawing of low- and high-carbon, welding wire and stainless steel; Pancover lubricant carriers – phosphates and non-reactive coatings; Panflux flux for galvanising – developed to improve the efficiency of the galvanising process by uniform control of the reaction between the two metals; and Panchem auxiliary products – degreasing agents, pickling inhibitors, anti-rusting and protective products, activated charcoal, wiping pads and spiral brushes. Pan Chemicals SpA https://panchemicals.com Rautomead will be presenting its RS range of graphite furnace continuous casting machines for the manufacture of ultra-low oxygen content CuOF rod and for the production of conductor alloy rods such as CuMg, CuSn and CuAg for signal data transmission wires and for railway contact and catenary wire applications. The patented pulse motion control offers users the ability to alter and adjust the casting sequence and speed according to the alloy and rod diameter being produced. Optimal settings may be stored in the PLC memory to ensure consistent production parameters from cast to cast. Rautomead will also be promoting its patented RSL sealed lid continuous casting technology, designed for processing progressive alloy rods such as copper chrome zirconium for subsequent manufacture of welding tips and small diameter drawn wires. This fully enclosed furnace features multiple, independently controlled feed mechanisms that deliver cored wire and CuOF rod to the furnace to match the melting casting output rate while maintaining precise alloy composition. Sample coils for any of the above materials can be manufactured to order and produced on continuous casting equipment installed at Rautomead’s facility in Dundee, UK. Rautomead Ltd Stand: L47

the standardised NMI (Niehoff Machine Interface), a network-compatible touch- screen that enables easy, intuitive operation. The intelligent technology of the machine allows it to measure, save and use machine data, production data and process data according to Industry 4.0. Wires drawn on this line show homogeneous characteristics and narrow tolerance properties along their entire length. Such wires can be processed into multi-wire bundles and are suited to final applications or downstream processing into high quality strands or braids.

Pan Chemicals is an Italian producer of drawing lubricants, coatings and chemicals for the wire industry. It sells worldwide, either directly or through its network of agents, distributors and branch companies – Pan Chemicals Bosphorus in Turkey and Pan Chemicals Americas in Mexico. explores new products and concepts, to offer customers improved performance and efficiency, while also keeping a focus on environmental sustainability. The company’s research and development department

In Mumbai, Rosendahl Nextrom will showcase a portfolio of new and improved solutions for the market. The demand for high-speed data infrastructure is ongoing, with AI applications creating a rising need for supercomputers. AI data centres require cables with unique properties: ultra-low data latency and ultra-high bandwidths of up to 800Gb/s. Rosendahl’s high temperature physical foaming lines can manufacture such cables. The latest achievements in fibre optical cable manufacturing include a high speed fibre launching system, a high speed rewinding line and a proof testing and fibre colouring line with automated reel changes. These new solutions reduce operating time and scrap while increasing productivity, quality and operator safety. For preform manufacturing, Nextrom has combined vapour axial deposition and outside vapour deposition technologies tailored to producing large-sized preforms. In addition, the telecom fibre drawing process has been optimised to reach speeds of up to 3,500m/min. With batteries being used as the energy source in modern cars, vehicle wiring is changing. New types of cables and wires are needed for both propulsion and power distribution. Rosendahl provides solutions including busbar insulation, high-end charging cables and high-performance data cables. It has also introduced a turnkey extrusion

Pan produces lubricants, coatings and chemicals for the wire industry

With this aim, Pan Chemicals has added to its portfolio products such as ash less lubricants for high quality surface after annealing; polymer-based pre coating for cold forming applications; polymer pre-coat lubricants for heavy duty bar drawing; nanotechnology based protective coating for galvanised wires; pre-coating for high-tensile galvanised steel wire drawing; special nano-dispersion water-based lubricants for fine and extra-fine drawing of high tensile wires; new-concept drawing
