Bishopdale Group, the UK-based holding company for industrial lubricant brands Metalube, Molyslip and United Oil Products, has announced the acquisition of corrosion preventative manufacturer Vapor-Tek. Vapor-Tek’s products help avoid and manage corrosion issues. Since 1967 the company has used its specialist knowledge within a range of industries, fromoil and gas to vintage vehicles, to supply corrosion and rust inhibitors that are designed to be clean, quick and simple to use, with high coverage rates and long-term protection. Commenting on the purchase, Bishopdale Group managing director Robert Brown said, “We are excited to welcome Vapor-Tek to the Bishopdale Group. The company’s corrosion preventive products are a great fit within our existing brand portfolio.” Mr Brown also confirmed that Vapor-Tek’s managing director, Colin Jones, will stay on with the business: “Colin will be a fantastic addition to our team and his wealth of industry knowledge will be invaluable. We look forward to welcoming him to the Bishopdale family.” Bishopdale Group www.bishopdalegroup.co.uk Dr John A Robertson – 1941-2021 Dr John A Robertson – the founder, chairman and CEO of InfoSight Corp – passed away on 2 December. In 1993, he sold Telesis and, along with 13 employees, founded InfoSight where he pioneered innovative applications of lasers and ceramics. In 2018, Dr Robertson achieved his dream of leaving a legacy for the employees of Infosight by completing the transition to being 100 per cent employee-owned. InfoSight Corp www.infosight.com
