VNT nano split dies Ajex & Turner has been involved in the innovation of wire drawing and compacting dies and tools for the wire and cable industries since 1962. Its latest advancement, the VNT Nano Split Die, is described by the company as representing “a significant leap in technology”, and is claimed to offer benefits that directly address long standing industry challenges. The VNT Nano Split Dies are engineered with multi-layer coatings of nano crystalline diamond applied through vapour deposition. This process results in an exceptionally smooth surface, reducing friction and providing manufacturers with improved copper and aluminium utilisation. Designed for versatility, VNT Nano Split Dies accommodate sizes from 0.5 to 100mm, making them suitable for stranding, bunching and compacting
applications. friction not only improves material flow but also ensures a bright surface finish, enhancing the aesthetic and functional quality of the final product. The stainless steel grade 304 casing prevents rust, extending the die’s lifespan and maintaining performance over time. Compared to traditional PCD and tungsten carbide dies, VNT Nano Split Dies are claimed to offer a 3-4 per cent improvement in raw material utilisation and a service life that is over ten times longer. This longevity eliminates the need for die polishing or re-cutting, ensuring consistent performance with no tolerance deviation throughout the die’s working life. For aluminium and copper compacting, the VNT Nano Split Dies can achieve production runs of approximately 12,000 to 15,000 cable kilometres, if The reduced The establishment of MAIPL marks a milestone in MAC’s mission to collaborate with Indian producers and fabricators of wire, tube, bar and parts serving industries such as aerospace, medical, automotive, oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and infrastructure. MAIPL’s support ensures these sectors have access to the latest NDT innovations. The new venture is being led by Parag Nag, a business development leader segment profit increased by 1.9 per cent compared to Q2 FY25. FMEG revenue grew by ~20 per cent in Q3 FY25 over Q3 FY24, and by 25 per cent in 9M FY 25 over 9M FY24, driven by strong volume growth. Segment margins improved by 4.3 per cent in Q3 FY25 compared to Q3 FY24 and by 3.7 per cent in 9M FY 25 over 9M FY24, due to savings in operational costs along with marginal increase in contribution. Commenting on the results, Shreegopal Kabra, MD, said, “RR Kabel has delivered its highest ever revenues in 9M FY25, despite overall moderate volume growth

optimal parameters are maintained. The technology simplifies wire break repairs and mitigates issues related to short service life, reducing down ti me and the frequency of die changes. The reduced friction from the diamond composite coating minimises the traction force required during the stranding process. This allows for higher stranding speeds compared to cemented carbide dies.
