Reaching the summit Scaling new heights features heavily in this issue of Wire & Cable ASIA , with Sket reaching the summit in producing the world’s largest machine for the armouring of offshore power cables. The machine has been supplied to a Scandinavian cable producer for the armouring of offshore power cable with a diameter up to 350mm. See page 8 for full details. And fibre-to-the-home in the Asia-Pacific region has also reached a milestone with 100 million people in the region now being subscribed to the services, according to the FTTH Council Asia-Pacific.
