Success in Asia Wiedenbach Apparatebau’s appearance at wire China 2014 and Wire & Cable India 2014 proved very successful, with meetings with numerous customers and potential customers underlining that the demand for cable in these two economic areas will continue. One of the growing requirements is the trend towards smaller cable diameters and also smaller inscriptions. Therefore, the visitors at the Wiedenbach booth expressed interest in a new small character printer that can create high-quality fonts down to a minimum height of only 0.8mm. On display was live cable printing with a high pigmented white ink adhering extremely well to PE as well as the newly introduced ‘Command Control System’ (CCS), a web-based software solution with which single printers and printer series can be set and controlled remotely via the Internet, and even by smartphone.
