Emtelle strengthens its FTTX position with senior management appointments

Emtelle, a manufacturer of blown fibre cable and ducted network solutions, has made two appointments to its senior management team, as it looks to strengthen its position within the FTTX (fibre to the X) industry. The company has appointed Kerry Anderson as group chief financial officer, and William Auld as group supply chain director. Ms Anderson is a chartered accountant with experience in senior finance roles across various sectors, and worked with Emtelle while at BDO, where she worked with large corporate, AIM-listed and not- Emtelle CEO Tony Rodgers commented, “We are delighted to welcome Kerry Anderson and William Auld to the senior management team at Emtelle. Prior to BDO, she worked at Lloyds Banking Group in the business support/non-core finance teams with a focus on distressed corporate real estate and leveraged finance. Mr Auld has been involved in supply chain management for eight years, working with The Howden Group and Colfax Corporation. His position at Emtelle will see him streamline and strengthen the supply chain, working closely with the customer service team, transport and logistics to develop strategic plans to ensure efficient delivery to customers. Included in the scope of supply is the Bamicon mill configurator, which sets up the reducing and sizing block (RSB) for the individual SBQ products to be rolled. Bamicon also guides and assists roll shop personnel through the planning and preparation of off-line roll shop activities, such as three-roll stand and roller guide preparation, in order to simplify these processes and increase the quality of preparation work and timing. Huaigang Special Steel (HSS) has placed an order with Friedrich Kocks GmbH & Co KG for the supply of an RSB ® 370++/4 in 5.0 design. HSS is a subsidiary of the Shagang Group – the sixth largest steel producer in the world and the largest privately owned industrial enterprise in China. The Kocks RSB will be a central feature of HSS’s new mill line and will produce straight bars within a Ø 20 to 80mm dimension range. ThenewRSBwill be the fourthKocks block to roll SBQ for HSS, after previous RSB orders in 2010, 2019 and the beginning of 2021. With the investment, HSS aims to strengthen its market competitiveness and deliver high-quality products to its customers. Commissioning is scheduled for mid-2022.
