Quality counts for 2015 Happy new year! 2015 kicks off with our January issue full of news from the wire and cable industry – including a breakdown of record-breaking wire China from last year. This starts on page 10 and continues on pages 22, 23, 24 and 25. Privately owned Chinese Taizhou Daming Stainless Steel Co is also starting the new year on a bright note – by upgrading its existing bar mill to increase quality for its customers. See page 20. Also in this issue, RSCC Nuclear Cable has delivered safety-related replacement cables for the Korea Hyrdo Nuclear power plant in South Korea. The full story is on page 8. UK company Alstom Grid has won another major HVDC contract to support power provision, also in Seoul, South Korea. The story is on page 16.
