Assembling and welding the saddle from start to finish takes around one hour. The Large Bore Saddle has a function that enables the installer to test the welding before cutting the pipe. The test gives a high degree of certainty that the installation has been done correctly, while testing quality and pressure, immediately following the installation. This avoids the risk of expensive and time-consuming mistakes resulting from tapping incorrectly welded saddles. The advanced solution includes a single welding time for ambient temperatures between -10°C and +45°C, with no temperature compensation required, no need for preheating process, instant heat transfer between coil and PE to speed up and improve gap closing, and a full bore outlet SDR11 – 90, 110, 125 and 160mm.

Double wall piping system Asahi/America has reintroduced the Poly-Flo ® co-extruded double containment piping system. Available in black PE and euro grey PP-R, Poly-Flo is suitable for installations with space constraints and systems where thermal expansion and contraction are present.

Poly-Flo is suitable for applications running at higher temperatures.

The SDR-designed system is available in 1 x 1½", 2 x 3" and 4 x 6", and operates up to 150psi at 68°F. Because of its unitary construction, Poly-Flo pipe and fittings act like a single wall system, which helps prevent failures often seen in fabricated systems. This is especially important in installations with fluctuating temperatures, or applications such as directional drilling

Water treatment facilities and chemical applications can benefit from Poly- Flo’s chemical resistance. The system’s low cost and easy installation also make it suitable for drainage systems, pressurised transfer lines, and industrial applications requiring up to a 4" carrier pipe. The Poly-Flo double containment piping system is available with manual and low- point leak detection sensors. Joining the upgraded system only requires standard welding equipment; no special clamps or inserts are necessary. Asahi/America offers butt fusion welding equipment and weld training for all of its piping systems.
