the new range. Parker’s technology and market development manager for tube products, Robert Airey, said, “For EPCs running lots of tube or pipe type products, Multitube offers the scope to save a lot of time, money and space. Whilst hose bundles are nothing new, the expanded portfolio gives oil and gas specifiers much greater flexibility in engineering design. Multitube is one of the first UK ranges to combine electrical cables, stainless steel tubing and temperate gas control in one bundle.” The Multitube range is now available from Parker and a limited number of authorised distributors.

condensing in tubes, or pipework freezing in sub-zero temperatures.

Parker Hannifin has launched its armoured oil and gas hose bundle product range to the UK offshore oil and gas specifier market. The Multitube ® range – originally launched in the USA – is now available in the UK, allowing UK specifiers to use any combination of stainless steel, electrical, plastic and titanium in one Parker bundle. Multitube is a bespoke tubing product constructed from stainless steel, copper or thermoplastic hose and tubing. The range spans from low-pressure thermoplastic tubing – including fluoropolymer PFA, FEP and PTFE – to high-pressure hoses to +650 bar. The tubes and hoses can be helically cabled into long length umbilicals to +750m continuous, and can also consist of electrical wires for temperature, pressure and valve control. Alongside the Multitube range, Parker has introduced the TempTrace™ product portfolio. This consists of thermally insulated heated sample obtainment and freeze protection bundles. Parker’s cross-wrapping insulation process applies thermal insulating materials around tubing in a way that reduces the possibility of cold or hot spots occurring at bends. TempTrace also provides a wide variety of parallel resistance heaters for temperature control and regulation. This combats the likelihood of gas

The new products give EPCs the scope to save time and money on new systems and installations, as well as being more space-efficient. In refurbishments and planned maintenance, Multitube offers specifiers the chance to reduce shutdown times for pipe and hose replacements, as the products are delivered pre-engineered, pre-insulated and pre-heat traced, ready to install. To support the launch, Parker is offering oil and gas customers free design advice and specification guidance. Customers can also access specialist hose training at no cost, which covers safe installation, connection and product handling of
