Oi l & gas tubes and pipes

Seamless pipe facility Established in 1992, Tianjin Baocang International Trade Co (TBCC) is the largest supplier of Tianjin Pipe (Group) Corporation (TPCO), a single-location seamless pipe manufacturing facility with 3.5mn tons of annual production capacity.

up to 30mm, in a single location of 200,000m 2 , the company supplies around 250,000 tons of pipes per year for a wide range of applications. Strategically located 5km away from TPCO and 16km from Tianjin International Port, China, it is an integrated facility with services ranging from project management, processing, storage, material testing, quality control

and inspection, and distribution. It is also fully equipped with chemical and mechanical testing equipment to ensure consistent product quality, and a pipe coating mill providing PE, FBE and 3LPE coating solutions.

downtime, leaks and accidents. This is complemented by Sandvik’s immediate support to our customers when they need it, all as part of ‘The Sandvik Peace of Mind Standard’.” Sandvik Materials Technology develops and manufactures products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys for demanding environments, as well as products and systems for industrial heating. Sandvik stainless steel tubular products, such as SAF 2304 and the Super-Duplex stainless steel grades SAF 2507™ and 3R60™, have optimum corrosion resistance to meet the demands of the industry. Sandvik claims that its high-alloy stainless steels have exhibited superior longevity, tolerances and bendability properties that are well beyond the specifications of the ASTM standards. Mr Satish added, “Sandvik stainless steel tube and pipe is shown to signifi- cantly help eliminate risks, unscheduled

Sandvik was among the exhibitors at this year’s Global Refining & Petrochemicals Congress (GRPC), and helped visitors explore how next-generation stainless steels can yield economic and lifecycle benefits, and also overcome operational challenges in the refining and petrochemical industry. The GRPC 2015 conference and exhibition was held in July in Delhi, India. Attendees not only had an opportunity to see Sandvik’s hydraulic and instrumentation tubing, heat exchanger tubing and piping portfolio up close, but also to gain hands-on experience of the quality of the stainless steels through interactive tablets, product samples and testing equipment. During the second day of the conference, Sandvik presented a paper comparing the standard austenitic grades 304L and 316L with the benefits of Sandvik SAF 2304TM, a lean Duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel that is characterised by good resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC), general corrosion and pitting. “India’s refining and petrochemicals sector is seeing a growing need for high-performance stainless steel materials due to increased complexity of the service conditions under which the downstream sector operates,” said Sharath Satish, tube and primary sales manager, India, Sandvik Materials Technology.
