Mud dauber fittings with tube ends SSP, a specialist in stainless steel and nickel-based alloy fluid system components, assemblies and CNG fuelling applications, has launched the Mud Dauber series of fittings, now available with tube fitting ends, in Duolok ® , Unilok ® and Griplok ® designs.
Founded in 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, as a contract manufacturer of screw machine products, SSP has grown into a major producer of instrumentation fittings, valves, tubing and tools. The company is a vertically integrated manufacturer, from tooling to forging, high volume and made-to-order precision machining. It can also create purchase orders; attach MTRs, BOL and tallies; view in/ out reports by AFE; and view inventory balances by date to reconcile to third party yards.
SSP’s Mud Dauber fittings
Mud Dauber fittings feature a durable and replaceable screen element to prevent wasps and other insects from infiltrating and clogging open systems, and are suitable for vents, blow-down tubes and sample points. The fittings are available in 1 / 4 ", 3 / 8 " and 1 / 2 " sizes, both for the newly available tube fitting ends as well as the original NPT pipe fitting ends.
Pipe inventory tracking Managing tubing and casing can be a difficult task, particularly for operators who need to track pipe in multiple locations, yet need accurate inventory information at a glance.
Tally Wizard is an out-of-the-box solution for managing tubing and casing. It is easy to deploy and use, and offers accurate inventory tracking of pipe in operators’ yards, third party yards and on wells.

Some companies use spreadsheets for this task, because OCTG stock is tracked in a financial software package.

parameters. When cases are run in Statis to animate the Pipe-Pulse effect, it can measure the pulse wave against time and also take a snapshot of the amplitude plot and pressure wave bouncing back. The client’s pipeline can be animated with the predicted pressure wave passing through it in slow motion or in real time, assisting in optimisation and client understanding of the Pipe-Pulse system. Statis has been verified in trials and is now being used in live projects at Paradigm. Paradigm Flow Services Ltd – UK info@paradigmflow.com www.paradigmflow.com
response and received response in real time.
Paradigm Flow Services has developed Statis software to model pipelines for operation of its Pipe-Pulse system, which remediates pipeline blockages using pressure pulses. Statis can build detailed models of pipelines or umbilicals, including components such as flexible risers, or down to the flowpath through an umbilical diver mateable connection. It allows Paradigm to determine the optimum amplitude pulse to be used, and calculate the generated stress within the pipeline walls. Simulating client systems, Statis is used for optimising setup, tracking effectiveness of operations and generating reports. Comparisons can be made between the expected (modelled)
Statis can build in a variation table to examine variations in pipe and fluid
