POLYPIPE, a UK manufacturer of plastic piping systems for the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors, has opened a new centre of excellence dedicated to plastic piping technology and related product areas. Located at the company’s Aylesford facility in Kent, the centre combines purpose-built showroom areas with practical training facilities, live product demonstration zones and seminar facilities that cover all aspects of Polypipe’s product portfolio. These range from plastic drainage and waste piping products for domestic applications to underfloor heating, stormwater management systems and rainwater harvesting technology. “Despite the current economic conditions we feel that it is vitally important that Polypipe is seen to support the industry it serves in this type of practical manner and the centre is proof of our philosophy in action,” commented Paul Rice, Polypipe’s group business development director. “The wealth of technical expertise and industry knowledge that we possess as a business has provided the foundations for the creation of the centre.
