Asahi/America welcomes new sales team member

Asahi/America, Inc specialises in providing solutions for fluid handling systems, individualised to meet customers’ needs. The company manufactures corrosion- resistant thermoplastic fluid handling products, including valves, actuators, pipe and fittings. It also maintains an extensive custom fabrication department, and provides on-site consultation, supervision and training, where required.

Since its acquisition by H2O Innovation, Piedmont has had consistent growth, as demonstrated with the execution of these two recent contracts. The contracts confirm the sale of 33,500 couplings for two desalination plants located in Qatar through an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company in Spain. “These projects represent a great opportunity for Piedmont to consolidate its business relationship with this important Spanish EPC company and its position as the preferred flexible coupling Asahi/America, Inc, a specialist in thermoplastic fluid flow technology, has announced the promotion of Joe Pye to its sales team. For the last four years, Mr Pye has been a member of the company’s engineering staff. His promotion to district sales manager took effect in August. Mr Pye, whowill represent Asahi/America in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska and Kansas, joined the company as an applications engineer in the industrial piping group after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in mechanical engineering. He will be based in Colorado.

The new website is complete with a reference list, detailed documentation on each product and the latest Piedmont news.

Piedmont recently won two of the largest contracts in its history for desalination plants in Qatar, and also signed a new distributor in Australia. Piedmont is also renewing its web platform and has launched a new website containing a product selection tool and other upgrades.

TEPPFA at Piovan Pipe & Profile Day The Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association (TEPPFA) participated in the conference Piovan Pipe & Profile Day. The event, organised by Piovan in cooperation with TEPPFA, Krauss Maffei, Penta, Collin, Fdm and Aquatech, was held at Piovan’s headquarters in Venice, Italy, on 1 October. The occasion saw the participation of representatives belonging to companies within the EMEA region. TEPPFA was represented by its general manager, Tony Calton, who gave the opening keynote speech of the event, highlighting the changes and opportunities in the industry, and focusing on innovations, resource efficiency and environmental sustainability.
