Welcome to the latest Tube Products INTERNATIONAL magazine. This issue we have features on steel & stainless steel tubes (page 36) and valves, fittings & flanges (starting on page 40). The technical article (page 45) discusses the welding of stainless steel tubes and is written by the experts at Huntingdon Fusion Techniques, which is based here in the UK. Sadly a number of usually busy tube-related trade shows have been postponed over the past few months, but the good news is that we have details of the rearranged dates within our pages. Of course in the majority of cases the organisers are making it as easy as possible for attendees by transferring over all tickets and stands to the new dates, so I hope that the disruption has been kept to a minimum for you. The big event of the year is of course Tube Düsseldorf and that is set to go ahead from 7-11 December. It will be good to see many of you there as the world gradually gets back to business. Other big news this issue includes a number of huge tube deals sealed between the likes of Sandvik and Tenaris (page 6); a multi-million deal by TMK as it closes the sale of Ipsco Tubular Inc – again involving Tenaris (page 13); and last but not least Tata Steel has secured three separate tube contracts from TechnicFMC for work to be carried out in the UK North Sea (page 38), which will see Sandvik add to the more than a million tonnes of steel pipes it has already built for projects in the region over the past 20 years. Next up we have the September issue. It will have features on OCTG, gas & pipeline products and also water, drainage & underground tubes. The magazine is set to be distributed as a number of big international trade shows – FABTECH 2020 in Las Vegas, USA; Tube China 2020 in Shanghai; and at EuroBLECH 2020 in Hanover, Germany.
