Specialist pipe solutions provider, Flexenergy, has widened its range of energy efficient, pre-insulated flexible pipe systems to meet the requirements of higher temperature and higher pressure community heating schemes. The company has added PEX (cross- linked polyethylene) pipe to its polybutylene range to meet growing demand for non-corrosive solutions in the district heating market. Flexenergy’s sales director Sandy Fairley commented: “The new PEX range extends our offer to the market at a time of growing interest and investment in community heating as the UK looks towards lower carbon heating solutions. “We can now provide advanced pre- insulated pipe technology to suit almost every type of district heating scheme, enabling designers, operators and scheme owners to specify a cost effective, high performing and non- corrosive alternative to steel pipe, with the potential to reduce the total cost of ownership.” Three new pipe products are available from Flexenergy: HeatFlex, FibreFlex Amada Miyachi Europe has released the new CD-V Series of Capacitive Discharge Power Supplies and TL-V Series of weld heads. The CD-V Series features a fully controllable dual pulse output and a full colour 3.5" user interface to give consistent welding output for repeatable process results. Typical applications for the CD-V series include battery tab welding, interconnects, honeycomb tacking, fine wire to pad processes and jewellery repair. Some key features of the CD-V series include built-in peak

The CD-V series is built in the USA and works with the following AMYA weld heads:   Manual Cable Driven - Models TL-V80F-E2-0A, TL-V88F-E2-0A and Standard Air Solenoid Driven – Models TL-V80A-E2-0A, TL-V88A-E2-0A. The TL-V weld heads are designed to complement the new power supplies. There are four variants with air actuated and manual actuated motion. The heads are designed for robust usage and come standard with a robust stand and electrodes.

current indication for immediate weld fire confirmation, pulse shaping with adjustable upslope to reduce expulsion during welds, an ultra-fast rise time for conductive material welding and the ability to move easily between pulses for quick welding of adjacent locations. In addition, the CD-V series makes handling a variety of weld schedules easy, as it is able to store up to eight schedules at one time, giving the operator the ability to easily change between weld schedules. Other ease- of-use features include a weld counter, programmable squeeze time, and a push button rotary encoder for intuitive operation.
