Polypipe welcomes new MD to civils division Polypipe has appointed a new manag- ing director to lead one of its largest divisions. The division, based in Loughborough, UK, has recently been involved in projects such as Wimbledon’s £7mn facelift, the £150mn Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh, and a £5.7mn social housing development in Yorkshire. It has also developed the UK’s first passive green infrastructure system capable of creating and sustaining green spaces in almost any environment, including densely populated cities. He will also play a role in the company’s commitment to creating solutions to help to meet the challenges of climate change, population growth and sustain- able urbanisation. Mr Durdant-Hollamby, has 26 years’ experience in the water management industry, and was formerly MD of the water management division at building products manufacturer Alumasc.
