New butterfly valve introduced Asahi/America has announced the next-generation Type-57 butterfly valve: the Type-57P. The redesigned valve is available in an ANSI wafer- style connection and shares the same face-to-face dimensions as all similarly sized Asahi/America Type-57 butterfly valves. 8" with a lever, and 1½" to 14" with the Plasgear™ operator. Available body and disc materials include PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF. The Type-57P top flange features an ISO 5211 F07 – F14 bolt circle, and all sizes can be electrically or pneumatically actuated. New features of the Type-57P include two moulded tag holes in the valve body for user-defined valve identification, and a highly visible throttle positioning plate. The plate, which features an opening degree legend in 10° increments, allows accurate throttle positioning between 0° (closed) and 90° (open). The Type-57P’s body and disc are injection moulded for durability, and the 316 stainless steel stem is non- wetted.
