The 2018 iteration of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) index was released during the World Economic Forum in Davos. Sandvik is included in the list for the first time, and ranked 65 th overall. Global 100 represents the top 2 per cent in most leading companies in the world on sustainability performance. “Sustainability is an integrated part of our business,” commented Björn Rosengren, president and CEO of Sandvik. “A sustainable approach to business, helping our customers become safer, more efficient and more productive, will contribute to ensuring long-term value creation for our customers, investors and employees.” To determine the ranking, 5,994 publicly listed companies were analysed against global industry peers on a suite of TMK, a producer of steel pipes, has commissioned a new integrated heat treatment line for seamless pipes at TMK-ARTROM, Romania. Covering over 12,000m 2 , the facility’s treatment capacity is 165,000 tonnes of pipes per year. The facility includes the main line at Shop 1-Assel as well as a water treat- ment station and a power substation located in separate buildings. It enables a full range of heat- treatment services, such as tempering and quenching, normalisation, soft annealing and hot straightening. The uninterrupted transportation of treated pipes with minimal handling will allow a throughput of up to 120 tubular
